Twitter, Facebook, Social Net Working, Entre Card, Blogs?

Twitter, Facebook, Social Net Working, Entrecard or Blogs? Have Twitter and Facebook, Social Networking, decreased the traffic to your blog? Are you still an active Entre dropper? Have you noticed you have fewer readers and hits to your blog? Is your blog still a priority to you? I am going through some changes and I feel I can not keep up with my website, twitter, facebook, social networking, etc. and still keep up with the blog. Does anyone else find this a problem and have you come to any conclusions? It would be interesting to learn where you stand on all of this. What is our response or opinion?

Hi, Corline. It is a lot to keep up with and why I was so grateful for the invitation to be featured on your your blog. I am just starting to launch my facebook business page and understand the value of that, but twitter seems useless to me unless people "follow" you. So far my tweets are not replied to and stuff up there is often insider conversation among business friends. Please clue me on how it works for you?Best, Joanne http://www.drawntoletters.etsy.com

I don't know if I have fewer hits or traffic to my blog lately but it seems like there are plenty of comments on my posts. All I know is that I am so burned out doing entrecard drops daily. I used to do 300 drops daily - taking hours to do it. Now I find myself dreading the "task". I have started just visiting my favorite blogs and leaving it at that, whether I visit 10 or 300, I don't care now. I, too, twitter, facebook, blog, maintain our ranch website, have an etsy store, am on Ravelry, Flickr, etc. and I find I spend way too much time on the computer and not enough time doing my fiber!

Joanne, I have not forgotten your feature .... I have been extremely busy - with good things but not much time to 'think' ...

I am trying to rearrange my priorities ... all of it is just too much to keep up with.

Split rock, thank you for our comments ... I am with you all the way. As I said to Joanne (above) there is just too much going on and it seem to me that twitter and facebook has taken prority over Entre cards .... along with the many social networks.

Me too!!! It's just too much anymore and makes me wonder what the next BIG social thing I won't be able to keep up will be? LOL

I think that a person should pic two of those and leave the rest alone. It is much too hard to keep abreast of all of them. I like the blog interface best since you really put out exactly the image you want when someone opens your page. If you concentrate your efforts on the one media you like best then you will be able to have a central following area. Or that's what I am thinking.

I don't have twitter. I really think it is too short to get any point across.

And with the Entrecard I basically use the credits that I accumulate every three weeks or so. If I see blogs with the EC I click but I dont use their site for browsing since it often is not productive.

Facebook is OK and good too but I still think the blog is more personal.

At The Apron Goddesses average blog hits are increasing all the time and I think my focus primarily on it makes a difference.

OK that's all. :)

BTW: I just saw a blog and apron store merged together beautifully!!! You can see it here:

Hope you are well!!

I'm with you here. I have a facebook acct and visit it once in a while... twitter, never started and ecard has me busy a lot. Sometimes I don't do any of it and just enjoy life.

I tweeet a lot and definitely get half of my readers from my tweets. I can always tell when I haven't tweeted, then my stats are low for that day.

I'm still learning how to merge my blog with my store have quality posts and bring others to my blog (just started a new one the other day for my jewelry store on Artfire.com)

I love the idea of having feature writers that way i draw from other and what is great about their blog and bring it to my own and get inspired.

Entrecad i'm using now to look for blogs that are doing well and interest me.

Twitter gets me views to my blog and i'm addicted to it.

Facebook still trying to figure out.

I admit, I've been doing a lot less entrecard dropping lately. The site just isn't what it used to be, that's for sure.

Absolutely. Time goes by so fast. Feels like I did not get anything done.

I've noticed fewer drops on my entrecard. Of course, I'm dropping fewer cards now too - it's just so boring. Every now and then I actually comment on interesting blog posts. Still I'm glad for entrecard - I have lots of a great blogs which I probably wouldn't before.
